SAVE THE DATE – Thursday evening, June 21
BURBANK, Calif. – The Napa Smith Brewery near Napa, Calif., will be the site of the 2012 induction ceremony for the West Coast Stock Car Hall of Fame on Thursday, June 21.
“The West Coast Stock Car Hall of Fame is proud to be part of the big NASCAR weekend at Infineon Raceway in June, which showcases the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West and the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series,” said Hall of Fame Board Chairman Ken Clapp. “We look forward to a gala event at this new location, as the Napa Smith Brewery hosts the 2012 ceremony.”
The induction dinner, which is slated to get underway with cocktails at 5:30 p.m., will commemorate the ninth class in the history of the Hall. Members of the 2012 class will be determined through an upcoming nomination process and final vote by the West Coast Stock Car Hall of Fame’s Board of Directors.
The Hall, which inducted its inaugural class in 2002, was founded in 2001. It memorializes significant contributors to the sport’s development and history – including designers, engineers, mechanics, drivers, race track owners, promoters, publicists and members of the motorsports media.
