Sonoma Raceway Executive Named To West Coast Stock Car Hall of Fame Board of Directors

AVONDALE, Ariz. (Dec. 16, 2013) – Frank Gullum, Vice President of Sales at Sonoma Raceway, has been named to the Board of Directors for the West Coast Stock Car Hall of Fame.

Gullum’s selection was announced by the board following its December 2013 meeting. The board had also announced its schedule for the coming year, with the 2014 inductees slated to be announced on Saturday, March 1 during the NASCAR Sprint Cup weekend at Phoenix International Raceway. Next year’s induction ceremonies will be held on Thursday, June 19, at the Meritage Resort and Spa.

The Meritage Resort and Spa, which hosted the 2013 ceremony, is located at 875 Bordeaux Way in Napa, Calif., near the intersection of Highways 29 and 221. The West Coast Stock Car Hall of Fame was conceived in 2001 as a means of recognizing significant contributors and contributions to the sport of stock car racing. The mission of the West Coast Stock Car Hall of Fame is founded to preserve history and heritage of the important role west coast stock car competitors have played in the sport’s development and continuation and to recognize, through annual enshrinement, of outstanding individuals and groups within the sport such as, but not limited to, designers, engineers, mechanics, drivers, race track owners, promoters, publicists and members of the motorsports media.
